  • Protista are mostly aquatic organisms and they are found in moisture area.
  • These cells possess the nucleus which is surrounded by the organelles and they can be heterotrophic and autotrophic. They display locomotion through cilia and flagella.

Classification of Protista :

The Protista is classified into three types and they are listed  below

  1. Protozoa
  2. Algae
  3. Moulds

1. Protozoa:

  • Protoza is a single-cell organism which is similar to bacteria they fed on other organisms to gain nutrition. And they are classified into four types.

2. Algae:

  • Algae are aquatic, plant-like organisms that obtained food from sunlight via photosynthesis. Algae can be found in river, lake, pond, etc..,

3. Moulds:

  • Moulds are saprophytic organisms. They have divided into two types v slime moulds and the water moulds.
